Our popular gardening classes return for Spring 2020!
Now that Spring is in the air, our attention starts to return to our gardens. The Garden House in Malahide will host a series of Spring 2020 gardening classes, with Marie Staunton, model turned gardener, who is on hand with all the help, advice and inspiration for those of us that need it! Classes begin in February.
Spring Forward, Friday 7th February
As Springs brings a stretch to the evenings, join Marie Staunton as she gives great advice and tips on how to make the most of the brighter evenings in your garden and help Spring your outdoor space into the new season using seasonal and perennial planting.
Growing Your Own Fruit & Vegetables Potager Style, Friday 13th March
Join us for this popular class to discover how to grow your own vegetables and fruits and learn top tips about growing in pots. Marie Staunton will guide you through growing different food from planting and maintaining crops through to harvesting what you grow.
Rose Growing and Pruning, Saturday 21st March
This class will help banish winter woes as Marie Staunton will share her expert ideas and advice on how to maintain and prune your roses in order to keep them blooming all Summer long. Marie will then cover all the various pruning techniques and tips to help you get the best out of your roses.
Summer Planting Schemes, Friday 3rd April
This class will enable you to get the most out of your outdoor spaces with summer planting schemes. Marie will share expert ideas, tips and advice on how to plan what you should plant to create a glorious garden full of textures and colour this Summer.
Lawncare, Saturday 25th April
Join us for this class to learn tips and advice on how to maintain a long lasting, healthy lawn. From everyday care or additional attention your lawn might need, Marie Staunton will teach you how to replenish your lawn and keep it growing to the best it can.
Pots of Summer Colour, Friday 1st May
The ‘Pots of Summer Colour’ class with model turned gardener Marie Staunton will celebrate the most versatile way of quickly and easily achieving instant colour – be it on the neatest balcony or the most compact decking area, no space is too small!
Marie will demonstrate how to plant up containers and baskets for every occasion including of course a communion day!
Design Ideas for Contemporary Gardens, Friday 5th June
Marie Staunton will share her innovative ideas and advice on how to create and maintain a beautifully landscaped and sculpted garden with a contemporary feel. This class will help you plan and design the dream garden you’ve always wanted.
