Charcoal Barbecues

Charcoal barbecues are the purist`s choice for authentic flavour. With charcoal the smoke from coals and sizzling fat permeates the food for that genuine chargrilled taste. Nowadays, that nightmare picture of flapping around trying to light your charcoal is a thing of the past. A simple invention, the chimney starter, takes all the hassle out of lighting your charcoal. Depending on weather conditions you will be the barbecue hero, ready to cook within 15 minutes of lighting the charcoal! You can choose between two types of charcoal depending on the type of food you are cooking. Lump Charcoal is quicker to light has a short burn life and is perfect for steaks, burgers, sausages. In other words, anything that cooks in under 15 – 20 minutes. Compressed Charcoal has a much longer burn time and is used for foods which need a longer cooking time, for example butterflied leg of lamb or a complete chicken.
